Jake Mendes Jake is a Lakewood native, and has spent time in New York as an actor, choreographer, and director. Since moving back to Colorado full-time, he has worked as Assistant Director and choreographer at Green Mountain High School and The Arvada Center, and has been an invited teaching artist for DCPA, The Arvada Center, and numerous high schools. Alongside his teaching, Jake is an award-winning actor. He was last seen at The Arvada Center in Bright Star. Other shows at The Arvada Center include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, A Chorus Line and I’ll Be Home For Christmas. Jake will also be a member of the Arvada Center’s 2019-2020 Black Box Repertory Company, with roles in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, and Small Mouth Sounds. DCPA: Corduroy, This Is Modern Art, The Aurora Fox: Hedwig and The Angry Inch (Henry Award Winner for Best Leading Actor), Off-Broadway: Bunnicula, Pinkalicious: The Musical.     Everyone can dance ... it might just take a little bit of practice. And... maybe a different way of learning. During this workshop, you'll learn a dance combination, via different communication styles. You'll connect to one of the teaching styles, and be able to let the choreography get into your brain and body more successfully!
