Voice in Action: Play your way to a freer voice uses toys and props to illuminate the essential aspects of voice - breath support, resonance, open vocal tract, optimum pitch, articulation - leading the actor to grounded, authentic acting. The session builds to applying principles to text, demonstrating how voice work underpins all of acting. Cook, a favorite presenter at theatre conferences throughout the US, will bring her dowel rods, balloons, rubber bands, kazoos and Pringles tubes as she takes participants through a journey that is truly “Voice in Action.”
