Create Your Own Adventure (devised work)

There is continual, growing interest in devised work, and particularly how to expand the "toolbox" for both educators and students in this area. A hands on workshop, participants are taken through an ensemble based process including movement techniques, Liz Lerman and Viola Spolin based improvisation, and prompted writing exercises. The participants can explore using these techniques to create a movement based ensemble piece, a new character based solo work, or a more personal, reflective process. These exercises will culminate in participants sharing a short devised sketch. This workshop is accessible to those looking to explore techniques in devising to aid in creating both solo and ensemble new work.
